Medium to large deciduous tree 20-30m tall leaves lobed , dark green above and densely white -hairy beneath givig a silvery appearance; bark smooth white gray in young trees, becoming darker and fissured with age.
Uses
Light timber (plywood , packing , matches ). Fuelwood; panted for shade and avenues: ornamental for sivery foliage ; also useful for soil binding and windbreaker.
